Description
Start Date: July 13, 2026 (following completion of 120-day privileging process)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day shift with call coverage 1 day per week and 1 weekend approximately every 4 weeks. Weekend work only required during call rotation. Floating within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed.
Highlights:
- Cardiovascular OR specialty focus including cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures
- Heart transplant experience highly preferred and valued
- Epic charting system utilized
- Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
- Unit welcomes first-time travelers with minimum 2 years of experience
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off available per assignment
Requirements:
- Georgia or Compact state license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Current BLS certification
- CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical First Assistant
- Required experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures
- Experience with procedures including CABG, valve replacements, endovascular repairs, TAVR, VATS, and thoracic surgeries
- Must complete privileging process approximately 120 days prior to start date
- Must be available to submit core credentialing items and complete/schedule required labs within 48 hours of contract signature
- Two supervisory references required (manager level or above)
- Full compliance documentation required by the Tuesday prior to start date
