Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room First Assistant – Georgia

Start Date: July 27, 2026 (following completion of privileging process)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift with call requirements one day per week and one weekend approximately every four weeks. Weekend work only required during call rotation. Float to main OR and within facility as needed.

Highlights:

• Specialized cardiovascular, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgical experience required
• Diverse case mix including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, VAD, thoracic procedures, and complex vascular cases
• Epic charting system utilized
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred; heart transplant experience highly preferred
• Unit welcomes first-time travelers with minimum two years of experience
• 13-week assignment with flexibility for experienced surgical first assistants

Requirements:

• CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum two years of cardiovascular surgical first assistant experience
• Documented experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures
• Georgia or Compact license required at time of submission
• Two supervisory references from Manager level or above
• Completion of privileging process approximately 120 days prior to start date
• Full compliance documentation required; ability to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of contract signature
