Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 7:00pm–7:30am, 12-hour shifts. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required.

Highlights:

• Work in a dual-unit environment caring for acute medical and thoracic progressive care patients in a 29-bed unit
• Patient ratios of 1:3 for IMC-level care; case mix includes telemetry oncology, cardiac, post-transplant, and trauma patients
• Epic charting system with 36 hours of orientation provided
• Work in a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and academic medical facility
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team with strong nursing advocacy and support services including IV teams, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Specialty populations include cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant patients

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand at submittal)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown specialty
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and progressive care experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required (strong proficiency mandatory)
• Academic Level I or II Trauma Center experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must pass pre-start telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria (100% lethal rhythm identification, 80% overall score)
• Proficiency in arterial lines, cardiac drips, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and other critical care skills
