Start Date: April 20, May 4, or May 18, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (days or nights), 0700-1930 or 1900-0730, every other weekend, some holidays, no call

Highlights:

• Work in a 27-bed Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic ICU within a Magnet-designated, nationally ranked teaching hospital
• Care for cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients with diverse acuity levels
• Utilize Epic charting system and advanced equipment including CRRT (NxStage), IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO
• Patient ratios of 1-2 ICU patients (occasionally 3 general care patients with lower acuity)
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• 24 hours of orientation with ongoing support from two Care Team Leaders and a Rapid Response Nurse per shift

Requirements:

• Wisconsin RN license (or compact) in hand at submittal
• Minimum 2 years of acute care CVICU experience within the last 3 years
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with NextStage CVVH machine required
• Basic arrhythmia experience and ability to pass telemetry exam prior to start (strict passing criteria apply)
• Trauma Level I experience required; cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity adaptable area experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience required; locals within 50 miles not accepted
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
