Description
Start Date: April 27, 2026
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), 36 hours per week
Highlights:
- Work in a Level 3/4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit caring for the most critical neonatal patients
- 13-week assignment with excellent support and 24 hours of comprehensive unit orientation
- Patient ratios of 1:2-4 with self-scheduling based on unit needs
- Experience with advanced neonatal care including therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide, ventilator management, and specialized equipment
- Epic charting system with full interdisciplinary team support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and specialty services
- Care for premature infants (as early as 22 weeks), surgical neonates, and complex medical cases
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level 3 or Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- North Carolina or Compact State nursing license (must be active by start date)
- Ventilator management experience required
- Epic charting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), central lines, tracheostomy care, IV vasopressors, and blood product administration
- Willingness to float to Pediatrics, PICU, or nursery for infants up to 12 months of age
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
