Schedule: 13-week contract, day shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM), rotating weekends (4 days per 4-week schedule period), no call required

Highlights:

• Specialized cardiovascular ICU with 14-bed capacity focused on high-acuity cardiac care
• Advanced device experience: ECMO (VA and VV), RVAD/LVAD, Impella, IABP, and CRRT/Tablo dialysis
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity, ensuring focused patient care
• Average 13–15 open heart surgeries weekly (CABG/valve procedures), with open heart recovery responsibilities
• Meditech EMR system utilized throughout facility
• Strong team environment with collaborative, family-oriented culture in a premier cardiac facility

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Previous cardiac critical care experience required
• Device competencies and experience strongly preferred: ECMO, RVAD/LVAD, Impella, IABP, CRRT/dialysis
• Open heart recovery experience highly desirable
• Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, receptiveness to feedback, and commitment to staff-to-staff accountability
