Location: Remote – work from anywhere in the U.S.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time

Highlights:

• 100% remote position with flexibility to work from any U.S. location
• Focus on concurrent and retrospective inpatient medical record review to ensure accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate closely with physicians, coders, case management, nursing, and other care teams
• Apply advanced knowledge of disease processes, pathophysiology, and critical thinking to identify documentation gaps
• Serve as an educator and resource to improve documentation quality and completeness
• Support regulatory compliance, coding accuracy, and proper representation of patient severity of illness

Requirements:

• CDIP (Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner) or CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) certification required
• RHIT, RHIA, RN, RRT, CCS, CCS-P, or MD credential required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Inpatient CDI Specialist, with at least the past 12 months in a production role
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as business needs require
