Schedule: Flexible scheduling with weekend coverage as needed; floating within the hospital required; no on-call

Highlights:

• High-volume surgical center with 120-140 cases per day and 100+ preop/PACU bays
• Diverse case mix including general surgery, trauma, thoracic, surgical oncology, gender-affirming surgeries, reconstructive breast, bariatric, colorectal, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, spine, neuro, cardiac, vascular, pediatrics, plastics, and organ transplants
• Multidisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Work with all age groups from infants to geriatrics in a comprehensive perioperative environment
• Access to advanced equipment including PCA, epidural, invasive monitoring (arterial lines, pulmonary artery lines, EVD, ICP)
• First-time travelers welcome

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of PACU nursing experience
• Active California RN license (must be valid at time of submission; temporary or pending licenses not accepted)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Proficiency in conscious sedation, IV starts, pulmonary artery line management, telemetry, and ventilator care
• Experience with dysrhythmia recognition and management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Epic charting experience highly preferred
• Willingness to float to all areas within the perioperative department
