Location: Newark, New Jersey

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week; flexibility required at end of shift based on documentation, admissions/discharges, and staffing needs

Highlights:

• Specialize in pressure injury assessment, management, and prevention in an acute care/critical care environment
• Work with complex ICU patient populations including open heart surgery, heart and lung transplant cases
• Collaborate with primary nurses and educators to validate staging, assessments, documentation, and treatment protocols
• Lead wound rounds and prevalence studies; maintain detailed data tracking for quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
• WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing) or CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Previous charge experience required
• Proficiency in acute care/critical care setting, specifically with pressure injury assessment, staging, and treatment
• Strong competency in ileostomy and colostomy care and management, prevention risk assessment tools, and various wound treatment/dressing methods
• Experience with Excel for documentation and data tracking
