Description
Start Date: May 4, 2026
Location: North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts with option to flex to a 4th shift when needed or available (overtime after 48 hours). Minimum every-other-weekend coverage (Friday-Saturday-Sunday). Blocked schedule requests will be considered.
Highlights:
- Level III and/or Level IV NICU unit with 20 beds and daily census managed through payroll
- Patient ratios of 1:4 across all shifts, caring for neonates and infants
- 24 hours of orientation provided to support onboarding
- Meditech EMR experience preferred but not required
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
Requirements:
- Current North Carolina state license or valid Compact state license
- Active BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications (PALS also required; AHA only)
- Minimum 2–3 years of NICU nursing experience
- Previous travel experience required
- Ventilator management experience (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must be willing to float within the hospital as needed
- Professional references and current NURSYS report required with submission
