Start Date: May 4, 2026
Location: Frankfort, Kentucky
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend required

• Patient ratio of 4:1 to 5:1 with strong support from Clinical Nurse Coordinators, PCTs, and unit clerks
• Meditech Expanse documentation system with modern telemetry and monitoring equipment
• Focus on telemetry monitoring, post-PCI care, cardiac IV infusions, and advanced cardiac interventions
• Comprehensive orientation and ongoing support from dedicated director, manager, and clinical educator
• Zero nursing turnover since September 2022 with many travelers extending contracts due to exceptional teamwork

Requirements:

• Active Kentucky nursing license (or compact) in good standing at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or ICU experience in a hospital setting
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Current NIH stroke certification (must be renewed annually)
• Strong competency in telemetry and EKG interpretation, post-PCI care, cardiac/anti-arrhythmic IV drip management and titration
• Experience with CPap and BiPap management, port access, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Preferred: Experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, and blood transfusions
