Start Date: June 2, 2026

Location: Rochester, New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Week 1: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm for orientation. Week 2 onward: Sunday night (10:00pm) through Thursday morning (8:30am), working four consecutive 10-hour overnight shifts per week.

Highlights:

• Perform analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to support patient diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment
• Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory instrumentation and automated testing systems
• Work with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report critical results
• Participate in quality assurance activities including troubleshooting assays and evaluating tests for accuracy
• Opportunity to work with minimal supervision in a specialized laboratory environment
• May assist with specimen collection and result interpretation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science
• Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints in a fast-paced environment
• Strong multi-tasking and communication skills
• Flexibility to accommodate overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments
• Strict adherence to safety protocols when working with infectious specimens, chemicals, and laboratory hazards
• Proficiency in English (speak, read, write)
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation operation and troubleshooting preferred
