Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Schedule: Rotating shifts with every other weekend; 5:1 patient ratio (maximum 6:1); holidays required

Highlights:

• Work in a dedicated 15-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit focused on patient recovery and functional restoration
• Utilize Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication management systems
• Collaborative team environment with charge nurses, RNs, and CNAs working together at full capacity
• Perform essential rehab procedures including patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration
• Opportunity to develop specialized skills in rehabilitation nursing and scoring documentation
• Minimal on-call requirements; floating to medical-surgical, telemetry, renal, urology, and orthopedic units (excludes ICU)

Requirements:

• Active RN licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EMR systems (Meditech experience preferred)
• Competency in safe patient transfer techniques and use of transfer equipment (Hoyer lift, sliding boards, etc.)
• Rehabilitation nursing experience preferred but not required
• Experience with rehabilitation scoring and documentation is a plus
