Description
Start Date: May 18, 2026
Location: Newark, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12.5-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM; on-call requirement includes one weekend per month (24-hour coverage Sat/Sun) plus two 8-hour weekday call shifts
Highlights:
- Work in a high-acuity, high-volume CVOR supporting complex cardiovascular and vascular surgeries including CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, aortic repairs, and endovascular procedures
- Experience hybrid OR suites equipped with state-of-the-art technology in a nationally recognized quaternary teaching hospital
- EPIC charting system; hospital-provided scrubs
- Opportunity to work with advanced transplant programs including cardiac, lung, and kidney procedures
- First-time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted at the same rate
- May float to Main OR for orthopedic, general, laparoscopic, GYN, robotic, neuro, vascular, and pediatric cases
Requirements:
- Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2.5 years of CVOR experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred
- Transplant experience (cardiac, lung, and/or kidney) highly preferred
- Experience with cardiovascular cases: valve replacement, CABG, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, dissection, VATs
- Hybrid room and endovascular experience required
- Vascular experience: endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, femoral-popliteal bypass

Staff and management are very friendly. The ratios are pretty good. Sometimes it gets very busy and sometimes transport is put in by someone else before you even have the patient ready to go. They are very flexible with scheduling and their weekend requirements are reasonable.
