Job Opportunity – Respiratory Therapist – Wisconsin

Start Date: May 11, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 8-12 hour rotations (1900-0730, 1500-2330, 2300-0730), 36 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday coverage. One on-call shift per 6-week schedule period. Flexible contract duration of 13-26 weeks available.

• Work in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma Center with comprehensive pediatric and adult services
• Provide care across multiple specialties including NICU Level IV, high-flow ventilation, and mechanical ventilation at IMC and ICU levels
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team utilizing Epic EMR system
• Flexible contract length options ranging from 13 to 26 weeks
• 40 hours of orientation to support successful onboarding
• Work with advanced respiratory modalities including HFNC, BiPAP, oscillating ventilators, and nitric oxide therapy

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RCP license (pending license accepted at time of submittal)
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Graduate of COARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Minimum two years of experience as a staff respiratory therapist in an acute care setting
• Experience in both pediatric and adult populations required
• Level 1 Trauma Center or similar academic medical center experience required
• Current BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA only)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Candidates must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility
