Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum RN – Northern California

Start Date: May 18, 2026
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts available; 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio; 36-hour orientation

Highlights:

  • LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) setting with 10 beds and average daily census of 12
  • Facility delivers 200–300 births per month with high-risk antepartum capabilities
  • Epic charting system in use; 277-bed acute care hospital
  • Exposure to advanced procedures including magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, IUPC placement, and central line maintenance
  • Opportunity to work within a dynamic perinatal team caring for neonates and adult obstetric patients
  • Floating may be required between like units or affiliate facilities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery and Postpartum experience required (hard-stop requirement)
  • Valid California RN license in hand prior to submission
  • Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of comparable specialty experience within the last three years
  • Must be located outside the 50-mile local radius
  • Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
