Description
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-week contract | 4 weekend shifts per schedule | No call required
Highlights:
- 30-bed neuro medical/surgical telemetry unit with 1:5 patient ratios
- Collaborative team environment with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and unit coordinators on every shift
- Meditech EMR system with advanced technology including virtual sitters, teleneuro, and telepsych capabilities
- Typical procedures include stroke NIH assessments, EEGs, wound care, and gastric decompression
- Equipment includes Welch Allyn vitals monitors, PCA pumps, Hoyer lifts, and computers on wheels (COWs)

Requirements:
- Current Texas RN license or compact state license
- BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Telemetry and medical/surgical experience strongly preferred
- Navy scrubs required; adherence to facility dress code policies
