Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Pool RN – Ohio

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36-hour orientation, estimated patient ratio 1:3-4

Highlights:

• Float pool position covering multiple stepdown/PCU areas across multiple campus locations
• Work with a variety of adult and geriatric patient populations with diverse diagnoses
• Epic charting system in use; experience required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 36-hour paid orientation to ensure successful integration
• Up to two pre-approved time-off periods available

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or stepdown nursing experience
• Current RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• IV start and cardiac telemetry skills required
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity levels
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
