Description
Start Date: June 15, 2026
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Highlights:
- Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with a daily census of 58 beds
- Patient ratios of 1:2-4, caring for premature infants as young as 22 weeks
- Experience with advanced neonatal therapies including therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide, ventilator management, and complex surgical cases
- 13-week contract with 24 hours of unit orientation provided
- Epic charting system; self-scheduling per unit needs
- Weekend requirement: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays per 6-week period
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience in a Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- North Carolina or Compact RN license (required at start)
- Ventilator management experience strongly preferred
- Experience with bubble CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, central line blood draws, UAC/UVC, tracheostomy care, and IV vasopressors
- Ability to float to pediatric units, PICU, or nursery caring for infants up to 12 months of age
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Current flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
