Job Opportunity – MRI Technologist – North Carolina

Start Date: June 17, 2026 (subject to class and trainer availability; may begin Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of start week)

Location: Huntersville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (40 hours weekly); Rotating weekend call requirement (one weekend: August 8-9, 2026, 7:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

• Perform general MR exams across multiple body systems using GE Voyager equipment
• Patient ratio of 1:2 with an average daily census of 18 patients in a 151-bed facility
• 13-week contract with minimal call and no float requirements
• 40 hours of comprehensive orientation with Epic EMR and collaborative interdisciplinary support

Requirements:

• ARRT MR and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• North Carolina or Compact state license (must be in hand by start date)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/Trauma settings
• Comprehensive skills across all major anatomical regions: abdomen/pelvis (including MRA, MRV, MRCP), cardiovascular (MR aortogram, pulmonary, lower extremity angio with bilateral runoff), chest, head/neck (brain, cranial nerves, orbits), musculoskeletal (all major joints and extremities), and spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum)
• Competency in special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, spin echo, surface coils, and T-1/T-2 weighted images
• Experience with isolation precautions, contrast media administration, and starting peripheral IVs
• Competency with GE equipment, Medrad injector, Pyxis, Visage, and PACS required
• Full availability during orientation week with flexibility to accommodate schedule changes
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
