Description
Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Southern California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, start times ranging from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM; 6-8 weekend shifts per contract required
Highlights:
- Specialized hematology oncology unit caring for patients with solid tumors, CAR-T therapy, BMT, and stem cell transplant
- Patient ratio of 1:7 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and social services
- Epic electronic medical records system required
- 48-hour orientation with ongoing professional development opportunities
- No floating outside of unit; no on-call requirements
- Work with advanced oncology treatments including continuous infusion chemotherapy, PAS-ports, and CADD pumps
Requirements:
- Active California RN license (must be permanent, not temporary) at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of relevant oncology nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required; OCN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficiency in chemotherapy administration, port management, infusion pumps, and administration of blood products
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
