Description
Start Date: June 22, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Shift hours range from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM
Highlights:
- Fast-paced, high-acuity surgical unit at a Level II Trauma Center (Level I experience preferred)
- Work with a varied surgical patient population in peri-anesthetic management
- Epic charting system utilized facility-wide
- 4:1 patient ratio with approximately 40 visits per day and 30 daily census
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Magnet-designated facility ranked as Wisconsin's top hospital
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of pre/post operative experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Basic arrhythmia experience and telemetry competency required
- Critical care background preferred
- Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted for this position
- Must pass mandatory telemetry exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
