Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) Pre/Post Surgical – Wisconsin

Start Date: June 22, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Shift hours range from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM

Highlights:

  • Fast-paced, high-acuity surgical unit at a Level II Trauma Center (Level I experience preferred)
  • Work with a varied surgical patient population in peri-anesthetic management
  • Epic charting system utilized facility-wide
  • 4:1 patient ratio with approximately 40 visits per day and 30 daily census
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Magnet-designated facility ranked as Wisconsin's top hospital

Requirements:

  • Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA only)
  • Minimum 2 years of pre/post operative experience required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Basic arrhythmia experience and telemetry competency required
  • Critical care background preferred
  • Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted for this position
  • Must pass mandatory telemetry exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
