Description
Start Date: June 8, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-week contract | Rotating weekends (4 shifts per month) | No on-call required
Highlights:
- 28-bed Medical-Surgical unit specializing in epilepsy and neurology care
- Patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 with dedicated charge nurse and PCT support
- Work with specialized equipment including Video EEG and telemetry monitoring
- Meditech EMR system
- Collaborative team environment with 32 FTE staff members
- No routine procedures – focus on comprehensive patient assessment and monitoring
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Current BLS certification (required)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (required)
- Hospital experience required
- 3+ years of nursing experience preferred
- Epilepsy care experience preferred
