Description
Start Date: May 25, 2026
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule; 6:1 patient ratio
Highlights:
- 20-bed Neurology Medical/Surgical unit at a Comprehensive Stroke Center and ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center
- Meditech electronic documentation system with iMobile communication technology
- Strong unit support including tech support on day and night shifts, plus unit secretary coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Modern equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, and bladder scanners
- Comprehensive patient care experience including wound care, surgical drain maintenance, and neurological patient management
- Manageable 6:1 patient ratio supporting quality, attentive patient care
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Medical/Surgical nursing experience required
- Ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively
- Proficiency in IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
- Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) uniform requirement
