Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: July 6, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Night rotation, 8 or 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 and 1900-0730), every other weekend, some holidays, no call

Highlights:

• 27-bed Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic ICU in a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Patient ratio of 1-2 ICU patients or up to 3 general care patients based on acuity
• Comprehensive team support including 2 Care Team Leaders, Rapid Response Nurse, and nursing assistants
• Advanced cardiac care including post-CABG, valve repair/replacement, transplant, LVAD, and ECMO
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation
• Up to two pre-approved time-off periods during assignment

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in CVICU specialty
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• CVICU experience and NextStage CVVH machine knowledge required
• Trauma Level I experience required; Cardiothoracic Surgery or Acuity Adaptable experience preferred
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation skills; must pass telemetry exam prior to start (strict criteria apply)
• Epic charting experience required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside 50+ miles from facility
