Job Opportunity – Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiography – Georgia

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required for coverage; no call. Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed. Holiday coverage required based on assignment period (if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler expected to work all; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler expected to work 2).

Highlights:

• Left-handed scanner required for this unit
• Comprehensive cardiac imaging including 2-D/3-D echo, TEE, stress echo, bubble studies, and advanced techniques
• Epic charting system utilized throughout facility
• Maximum of 7 days time off permitted per contract; all time off must be finalized at submission
• Trauma experience preferred; community hospital setting
• Orientation hours provided based on contract length

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of cardiac sonography experience required
• Previous travel experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Active Georgia or Compact state license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• ARDMS and either CCI RCS or RDCS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with adult acute care, emergency department, and ICU settings
• Proficiency with multiple ultrasound platforms including GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, Hitachi, and SonoSite
• Advanced echo skills including diastology, LV strain/volume, PISA method, and Simpson's rule
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
