Description
Start Date: June 23, 2026
Location: Dallas, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day shift only, self-scheduling with flexibility for unit needs. Must work two Mondays and two Fridays per schedule period. No weekends or on-call required.
Highlights:
- Variety of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, and scopes
- Multiple areas of practice: PreOp, PostOp, PreAdmit Testing, OR Holding, and Day Surgery IR
- Manageable patient ratios: 1:1 in PreOp, PAT, and Holding; 3:1 in PostOp
- 22-bed unit with a collaborative team of 41 staff members
- Meditech EMR system with standard IV pumps and equipment
- Floating opportunities across PreOp, PostOp, and PreAdmit Testing units
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Texas
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with IV starts
- Experience with Meditech EMR is strongly preferred
- Day Surgery, PreOp, or PreAdmit Testing (PAT) experience highly desirable
- Adult or pediatric surgical experience; ideally both, with priority given to adult experience
- Ability to work during inclement weather as needed
