Job Opportunity – Medical Laboratory Technologist – Georgia

Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time, every third weekend required, no call

Highlights:

• Primary focus on blood bank procedures and transfusion services
• Minimal floating within facility as needed, primarily within scope of practice
• Trauma center experience preferred
• Modern hospital laboratory environment with comprehensive blood banking capabilities
• Orientation hours provided based on contract length
• Up to 7 days of requested time off may be accommodated

Requirements:

• ASCP, ASCP MT, ASCP-BB, AMT, or ABB certification required (MLT not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required; facility does not accept first-time travelers
• Georgia state license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Proficiency in blood banking procedures including ABO/Rh testing, antibody screening and identification, crossmatching, transfusion reaction workup, and blood product handling
• Experience with electronic crossmatch, antigen typing, and comprehensive blood bank protocols
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
