Job Opportunity – PACU Holding / Medical-Surgical RN – New York

Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Rochester, New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. No weekends, no holidays, no call required.

Highlights:

• Work in a PACU Extended Stay/Holding environment with fully recovered post-operative patients awaiting disposition

• Patient ratios of 5:1 (day/evening), with PCT support provided by hospital operations
• Epic EMR experience required; 8-hour orientation provided
• Diverse patient population including ortho, neuro, GYN, and general surgery cases
• Float to Medical-Surgical units as needed for varied experience

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; post-operative experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting system experience is mandatory
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Experience with MS/Telemetry, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Proficiency in IV starts and maintenance, peripheral line care, heparin protocols
• Competency with oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location
• Availability to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Maximum 10 days of requested time off during contract period
