Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN – Pennsylvania

Start Date: August 10, 2026
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days 0645-1915 / Nights 1845-0715); every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday); one holiday required; no call

Highlights:

• Specialized cardiac care including post-operative heart surgery (CABG, valve repair/replacement), heart and lung transplants, and advanced device support (ECMO, IABP, Impella, VADs)
• 25-bed unit with 2-3 patient ratio and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with state-of-the-art technology and point-of-care testing
• Rotating shift schedule allowing both day and night experience to match operational needs
• May float to Adult ICU or Telemetry units when census requires, ensuring consistent hours
• First-time travelers welcome with 36 hours of orientation

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania or Compact state RN license required at submission
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications current and valid
• Proficiency with CRRT/CVVHD, hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs), Impella devices, and caring for post-operative heart surgery patients
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Pennsylvania fingerprinting and background clearance required
• Completion of clinical competency exam (3 attempts permitted)
