Description
Start Date: July 13, 2026
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 4 days per week (10-hour shifts), includes weekend rotation and on-call coverage
Highlights:
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on both adult and pediatric patient populations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two-year allied health education program in patient care-related field preferred (diagnostic medical sonography, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or registered nursing)
- ARDMS/CCI registration or registry eligible, or comparable national accreditation required
- State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License required
- BLS certification through American Heart Association required
- Two years of active echocardiogram experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-stress environments
Responsibilities:
- Perform technically proficient cardiac examinations using various imaging modalities
- Coordinate scheduling, patient transport, and billing information across hospital departments
- Assist cardiologists during exam dictation by preparing measurements and providing diagnostic support
- Respond to patient needs during examinations and report condition changes to appropriate medical staff
- Maintain quality control of equipment operations and coordinate repair services as needed
- Manage departmental supplies, maintain organized workspaces, and ensure accurate patient documentation
- Share responsibility for on-call emergency exam coverage outside regular working hours
- Assist with additional cardiac procedures as needed
