Description
Start Date: July 13, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 13-week contract; 4 weekend shifts per schedule; no on-call required
Highlights:
- Level 4 designated maternal center providing the highest level of care for complex maternal patients at any gestation
- 22-bed unit with 16 labor beds; staffing includes dedicated charge nurse, surgical techs, and unit clerk support
- 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios depending on acuity; experience with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and maternal complications
- No on-call requirements; consistent night shift schedule with weekend rotation
- EMR system utilizing Cerner PowerChart (CPN) and Meditech
- Award-winning facility recognized as America's Best Maternity Hospital 2023 by Newsweek and Leapfrog Grade A recipient
Requirements:
- Current RN license in Texas or compact state license
- Minimum experience in labor and delivery nursing required
- Must have experience with high-risk maternal patients
- Ability to circulate in operating room and provide triage care
- BLS and NRP certification required; additional maternal-fetal certifications preferred
- 5 or more years of labor and delivery experience strongly preferred
