Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN – New Mexico

Start Date: July 20, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week, 2-3 weekend shifts per month, call requirements of 24-36 hours per month for day shift

Highlights:

• Work at a 554-bed Level I Trauma Center with teaching hospital and children's hospital services
• 1:1 patient ratio with focus on Trauma, Neuro, and Ortho service lines
• Circulating role with exposure to diverse surgical specialties including cardiovascular cases
• Cerner charting system with 18 operating rooms
• Purple scrubs provided, free parking, and 8-hour orientation
• Minimum 10-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements:

• Active New Mexico RN license or willingness to obtain (pending license accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; RQI certifications not accepted
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Circulating experience required; must have Neuro and Trauma experience
• Must reside beyond 100-mile radius from facility
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine optional
• First-time travelers accepted
