Job Opportunity – Dialysis Charge Nurse – New York

Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Rochester, New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 40 hours per week; Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM - 10:30 PM; flexible 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts based on department needs; rotating weekends and occasional holiday Sundays

Highlights:

• Charge Nurse role overseeing a 24-chair outpatient dialysis unit with 8-station acute coverage
• Combination of chronic outpatient and acute inpatient dialysis experience utilized
• Fresenius 2008T machine experience; Epic EMR system required
• Flexible shift patterns including 8, 10, and 12-hour options across day and evening shifts
• Float coverage to other dialysis locations as needed
• Work with diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Requirements:

• Active New York State nursing license (required prior to submission)
• Minimum 1 year of dialysis nursing experience
• Previous Charge Nurse or Team Leader experience required
• Chronic outpatient and acute inpatient dialysis experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with AV fistula and graft cannulation, tunneled/non-tunneled catheter management, and dialysate conductivity testing
• Strong knowledge of dialysis machine alarms, troubleshooting, and emergency management protocols
• Candidates must reside greater than 75 miles from facility
