Description
Start Date: June 26, 2026
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, rotating weekends, 36 guaranteed hours per week, 13-26 week assignment
Highlights:
- Cardiovascular ICU environment specializing in post-operative cardiac care including CABG, VAD, and post-catheterization patients
- Comprehensive experience with advanced cardiac support devices: IABP, Nxstage, Impella, and ECMO
- Exposure to hemodynamic monitoring with Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial lines, and ventilator management
- Rotating shift schedule with no call requirements
- Meditech documentation system and order entry
- Part of an internationally acclaimed medical center with over 50 years of excellence in patient care
Requirements:
- Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- NIH certification required
- Demonstrated competency with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and critical care devices
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Willingness to float according to facility policy
- Experience with IABP, CRRT, and Meditech preferred
