Job Opportunity – NICU Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: July 13, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, nights (with option to flex to 4th shift if available; overtime after 48 hours). Minimum every-other-weekend commitment (Friday-Saturday-Sunday). Blocked schedule requests will be considered.

Highlights:

  • Level III and/or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience
  • Patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity and shift
  • 20-bed unit with 24 hours of orientation provided
  • EMR: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
  • Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
  • Care for neonates and infants requiring advanced respiratory support and critical interventions

Requirements:

  • Active North Carolina state license or Compact licensure
  • Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE required
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience (3 years preferred)
  • Previous travel experience required
  • Experience with ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Current NURSYS report and professional references required
  • Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
