Job Opportunity – Operating Room Nurse – Pennsylvania

Start Date: August 10, 2026
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, with rotation to 2 weekend shifts per schedule; call requirements include 2 weekend calls and 4 weeknight calls per 6-week schedule; holiday rotation required

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma Center with high-acuity case mix including orthopedic, neuro, and robotic procedures
• Advanced surgical experience with liver and kidney transplant, spinal procedures, and trauma care
• 1:1 patient ratio with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Cerner charting system with 40 hours of orientation provided
• 14 operating rooms with average daily volume of 30 procedures
• Comprehensive surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and trauma

Requirements:

• Pennsylvania or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience; no first-time travelers
• Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Specific experience required in orthopedic, neurological, and robotic surgeries
• Liver and kidney transplant experience required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating for complex procedures including spinal fusions, craniotomies, total joint replacements, trauma cases, and vascular procedures
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Must complete Pennsylvania fingerprinting and background clearance
