Description
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: West Hollywood, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 or 48 hours per week available. Weekend coverage required with at least 6 weekend shifts every 6-week period.
Highlights:
- ICU Float Pool position rotating through high-acuity critical care units including Neuro ICU, Respiratory ICU, Cardiac ICU, and Transplant ICU
- 24-bed ICU units serving adult and geriatric patient populations with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
- Epic charting system in use at a comprehensive transplant center
- Float coverage includes critical care units and may extend to Overflow PACU, Med-Surg/Telemetry, PCU, and Stepdown units as needed
- Diverse case mix including neuro cases, respiratory failure, hemodynamic instability, acute MI, transplant patients (liver, kidney, pancreas, heart/lung), GI/GU bleeds, and trauma
- 13-week assignment with self-scheduling model and access to IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, and comprehensive ancillary support
Requirements:
- Active California RN license (must be permanent and in hand at time of submission - no pending or temporary licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Pulmonary Artery (PA) Line/Swan Ganz monitoring experience is mandatory - this is a hard stop requirement and will be assessed during phone interview with additional skills checklist
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred)
- Previous experience at a facility with 400 beds or larger is required
- Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted if they meet minimum ICU experience and facility size requirements
- Strong skills in arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, BiPAP/CPAP, CRRT (preferred), and EVD (preferred)
- Proficiency with Epic charting and EKG interpretation
- Two supervisor-level references from within the past year required at submission
- Flexibility required - no scheduling requests can be accommodated; maximum 7 days RTO with no time off within first 2 weeks
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
