Description
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Location: Northern Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Travel assignment with every other weekend requirement. On-call shifts possible. Must be available for floating to similar units as needed.
Highlights:
- Join a Silver level Beacon Award-winning Cardiovascular Unit recognized by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN)
- Care for a diverse cardiology patient population including post-PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemaker patients
- Work with post-operative open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op) and specialize in congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies
- Part of a Top 50 Heart Hospital in the U.S., caring for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually
- Participate in national clinical trials through the facility's NISUS research department
- Collaborate with exceptional leadership, medical staff, and colleagues dedicated to top performance in care, efficiency, and community value
Requirements:
- Current Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
- Minimum 1 year of Step-Down nursing experience required
- Proficiency in cardiac nursing required
- EKG interpretation skills and comfortability required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Completed skills checklist within one year of application
- Travel experience required
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed
