Job Opportunity – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Georgia

Start Date: August 3, 2026

Location: Columbus, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week assignment with rotating shifts; every other weekend required; holiday coverage as assigned based on major holidays falling within assignment period; floating to sister campus as needed

Highlights:

• Level 2 trauma center with interventional stroke certification and Level 3 NICU designation
• Diverse patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics, with primary focus on adult critical care and pediatric intubated patients
• Comprehensive scope of practice including non-invasive and conventional ventilation, aerosol therapy, bedside pulmonary function testing, arterial line placement, and blood gas analysis
• EMR systems include Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR; ventilator experience with Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, and Viasys Avea preferred
• Orientation provided with 48 hours of facility-specific training
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) allowed per contract; must be finalized at time of submission

Requirements:

• Active Georgia RRT license or Compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Level 2 trauma experience required
• Pulmonary function testing (spirometry) experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Full compliance documentation must be completed prior to start date
