Start Date: August 10, 2026

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) or Night shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with flexible start times for 10-hour shifts. Every other weekend required, plus 1 holiday if it falls within the contract period. Training and orientation will occur on day shift for the first two weeks before transitioning to contracted shift.

Highlights:

• Perform routine and specialized compatibility testing in a Blood Bank supporting both pediatric and adult specialty services
• Handle approximately 15,000 samples with exposure to diverse patient populations including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Float between multiple hospital locations to gain varied experience across different care settings
• Work with Cerner EMR system (preferred experience)
• Specialized skillset includes ABO/Rh testing, antibody screening and identification, crossmatching, electronic crossmatch, and transfusion reaction workup

Requirements:

• ASCP-MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) certification required
• ASCP-BB (Blood Bank) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
• Proficiency in specimen processing, ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, antibody typing (tube method), crossmatch procedures (immediate spin/IgG), electronic crossmatch, and indirect Coombs testing
• Experience with automated equipment and gel testing method preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Active state licensure required prior to start date
• Willingness to float between multiple hospital locations
