Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Telemetry/Progressive Care – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Patient ratio of 3:1.

• Specialized patient population including thoracic procedures (esophagectomies, lobectomies, wedge resections), cardiac surgery stepdown, and hospitalist patients
• Opportunity to work with advanced care modalities including ventilator management, transplant patients, and post-surgical thoracic care

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown settings
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• ICU or IMC and surgical post-operative experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry examination prior to start (strict passing criteria: 100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall passing score)
• Thoracic experience preferred; Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, chest tube care, and ventilator management
• Experience with central lines, PICC lines, blood product administration, heparin and insulin protocols
• Must be located 50+ miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
