Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist - AlaskaJob Opportunity – Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist – Alaska

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 5x8 night shifts, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, with every other weekend required (may include additional weekends as needed). Guaranteed 72 hours per two-week pay period.

• Work with diverse patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Free parking provided; scrubs supplied by facility

Requirements:

• Current ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification in either Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care/inpatient laboratory experience required; first-time travelers must have at least 2 years of experience
• Valid state laboratory license (pending licenses accepted; processing takes 10-12 weeks)
• Epic experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Proficiency in hospital clinical laboratory procedures including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, specimen processing, quality controls, and various testing methodologies
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Willingness to work two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
