# Job Opportunity – Pediatric Case Manager RN – Alaska

Schedule:

5x8 Days, Monday through Friday with weekend requirements (every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week schedule). Shift times vary between 0700-1530, 0730-1600, 0800-1630, or 0830-1700. Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period.

Highlights:

- 13-week assignment at a 407-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital, recognized as a Best Hospital and Level II Trauma Center- Pediatric case management focused on discharge planning, care coordination, and utilization review with a caseload of approximately 30 patients- Epic EMR system required; strong emphasis on evidence-based guidelines including InterQual and Milliman criteria- Interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams- 24 hours of orientation provided; float responsibilities within case management services as needed- Free parking and scrubs provided by facility

Requirements:

- Active Alaska RN license required prior to offer- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with pediatric and acute care hospital experience required (NICU experience preferred)- Epic EMR experience required- BLS certification preferred; ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Teams preferred- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years- Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
