Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (0645-1915 or 1845-0715), rotating every 3rd weekend

Highlights:

• 36-bed orthopedics and spine specialty unit in a busy Level 2 trauma center with all private rooms
• Fast-paced med/surg acuity caring for orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions including stroke and head injuries, and trauma patients
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1 with supportive team structure including charge nurse, RNs, PCTs, and unit clerk
• Meditech EMR system with innovative iMobile communication technology for seamless team collaboration
• Work with specialized equipment including traction, external fixators, halos, remote telemetry, and continuous pulse oximetry
• Exceptional unit culture with 0% first-year RN turnover and only 7% total RN turnover (well below the 17% national average)

Requirements:

• Active Kansas RN license (required)
• Current BLS certification
• Acute care hospital experience on Med/Surg or Telemetry units
• NIH certification preferred
• Experience with wound care and dressing changes
