Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation – Pennsylvania

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts with every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and every other holiday rotation. No call required. Floating to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units as needed.

Highlights:

• Acute inpatient rehabilitation unit serving adults and geriatric patients with daily census of 10-14
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on nights, providing manageable workload with quality patient care focus
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Specialized experience with blood glucose monitoring, port management, and diverse rehabilitation diagnoses including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury
• First-time travelers accepted with comprehensive orientation support
• Community hospital setting with stable patient population and collaborative team environment

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience required
• Experience with blood glucose monitoring, care and management of ports, central line care, and administration of blood products
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system
• Community hospital experience required
• Charge nurse experience strongly preferred
• Valid professional references and current certifications
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Pennsylvania state fingerprinting and background clearance required
