Description
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Location: Petoskey, Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time travel assignment; every other weekend required; possible on-call coverage
Highlights:
- Work in an award-winning Cardiovascular Unit recognized with a Silver Beacon Award by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN)
- Specialty unit caring for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually, including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemaker procedures
- Manage post-operative open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op) alongside congestive heart failure and electrophysiology study patients
- Collaborate with a nationally recognized cardiac research department managing multiple clinical trials
- Part of a Top 50 Heart Hospital in the U.S., demonstrating excellence in care, efficiency, and community value
- Flexibility to float to similar units as needed to support hospital-wide patient care needs
Requirements:
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
- Minimum 1 year of Step-Down experience required
- Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac nursing and EKG interpretation
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Travel nursing experience required
- Completed skills checklist within one year of application
- Ability to meet strict attendance and punctuality standards
