Location: West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, weekdays with every other weekend, float within scope if necessary

Highlights:

• 15-bed Progressive Care Unit caring for Priority 2 transfers from ICU requiring intermediate level care
• Specialized post-procedure care including TAVR, CEA, and femoral popliteal bypass patients
• Advanced monitoring capabilities with invasive arterial and central venous pressure monitoring
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3, adult and pediatric surgical and vascular patient population
• Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 838 staffed beds
• Cerner EMR system with free parking provided for travelers

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association (required)
• PALS certification preferred but not required
• Proficiency in invasive line monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, critical medication administration, and respiratory ventilation management
• Experience with chest tubes and transvenous pacemakers
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless medical exemption documented
• First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
