Description
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Variable shifts including evenings and nights (5x8-hour shifts). No weekend coverage except during on-call rotation. Guaranteed 72 hours per two-week period. On-call rotation every 4 weeks for 1 week (6 PM to 12 AM Monday-Friday, plus weekend call).

- Work with diverse case mix including Blood Bank, Chemistry, COVID/Flu testing, and Urinalysis
- Epic charting system experience required
- Flexible assignment length: choose 13 or 26 weeks based on your preference
- Facility provides housing (1-bedroom apartment) and rental vehicle during assignment at no cost
- Block scheduling accommodations available
Requirements:
- ASCP Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification required
- BLS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician
- Proficiency in Blood Bank, Chemistry panels, COVID/Flu testing, and Urinalysis procedures
- Epic charting system experience required
- Valid state license (pending licenses accepted; processing takes 10-12 weeks)
- Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Previous travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance with rental car coverage
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years

- Pets not permitted in facility-provided housing
