Medical Laboratory Technician - AlaskaJob Opportunity – Medical Laboratory Technician – Alaska

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Variable shifts including evenings and nights (5x8-hour shifts). No weekend coverage except during on-call rotation. Guaranteed 72 hours per two-week period. On-call rotation every 4 weeks for 1 week (6 PM to 12 AM Monday-Friday, plus weekend call).

Requirements:

• ASCP Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification required
• BLS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician
• Proficiency in Blood Bank, Chemistry panels, COVID/Flu testing, and Urinalysis procedures
• Epic charting system experience required
• Valid state license (pending licenses accepted; processing takes 10-12 weeks)
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Previous travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance with rental car coverage
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
