Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Alaska

Start Date: August 25, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. 36 hours guaranteed per week over a 13-week assignment. Rotating weekends required. Various shift times available including day, mid, and night shifts.

Highlights:

• 20 headwall beds plus 4 hall spaces in a busy Level II Emergency Department
• Patient ratios of 4:1 for moderate to high acuity, 6:1 for lower acuity (ESI 4 and 5)
• EPIC EMR system with advanced equipment including Lucas devices, Level 1 infusion systems, Alaris IV pumps, I-stat, EPOC, and GE monitoring
• Comprehensive case mix including stroke, STEMI, trauma, and pediatric patients
• Supportive team environment with charge nurses, flow coordinators, ED techs, and ultrasound support on every shift
• 13-week travel assignment with multiple positions available

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required at time of submission
• Prior Emergency Department experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC
• Stroke and STEMI experience preferred
• Trauma and pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in splinting and breathing treatments
